MEM30205 - Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
This course is designed for Australian apprentices employed under a training contract in the engineering trades and provides skills development and the underpinning knowledge required for a career in the engineering trades.
Training is delivered and assessed over the term of the Training Contract (usually 4 years) and you will be assigned an ATEC Case Manager who will work with you and your employer to develop a Training Plan that suits the needs of you and your employer.
You will be required to attend trade school to complete some of the units of competency, whereas others will be trained and assessed on-the-job.

WorkReady Subsidised Training
This course is subsidised by the South Australian Governments' WorkReady initiative for eligible students. Only students who meet the eligibility criteria, in adition to the following condition, will qualify for subsidised training.
- Training Contract - A student signed into a training contract with an employer i.e. an Apprentice or a Trainee.
Course Admission Requirements / pre-requisites
There are no mandated pre-requisites for this course however; previous completion or partial completion of a Certificate II in Engineering is desirable and may enhance your learning experience.
Employment Outcomes
Certificate courses aim to provide training at the operative level to equip students with selected practical, technical and theoretical skills in production engineering as well as basic skills and an overview into engineering vocations. Obtaining this trade qualification may enhance your employment opportunities.

Qualification
Successful completion of this course provides you with a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30205)
Students who do not complete all the units of competency within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment for those units of competency that have been successfully completed.
WorkReady for Apprentices
You may be eligible for subsidised training in this course if you are 16 years or over and:
- 16 years or over and;
- signed into a Training Contract with an employer i.e. an Apprentice or Trainee.
WorkReady Concessions
