CPC20112 - Certificate II in Construction

This course provides an occupational outcome with a range of support tasks applicable to a number of construction work sites.

Training is delivered over a period of 12 weeks part-time (Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm. ATEC also provides students with complimentary White Card training to facilitate work experience and/or job opportunities (CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry).

WorkReady Subsidised Training
This course is subsidised by the South Australian Governments' WorkReady initiative for eligible students. Only students who meet the eligibility criteria will qualify for subsidised training. View eligibility criteria, here.
Course Admission Requirements / pre-requisites
Applicants will be required to attend an interview and undertake pre-assessment to ensure suitability for the course, which may include drug and alcohol testing. You must be at least 16 years of age and have a command of the English language to enable fluent communication (written and oral). You must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (see PPE requirements).
Employment Outcomes
Certificate courses aim to provide training at the operative level to equip students with selected practical, technical and theoretical skills in construction as well basic skills and an overview into construction vocations. Obtaining this trade qualification may enhance your employment opportunities.

In order to complete this qualification, students must successfully achieve a total of 15 units of competency, 10 core units and 5 elective units of competency (as outlined above).

Qualification
Students who successfully complete all the requirements of this course will be issued with a Record of Results and a Certificate II in Construction (CPC20112).

Students who do not complete all the units of competency within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment for those units of competency that have been successfully achieved.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to be supplied by participant:
  • Safety boots (steel cap)
  • Safety glasses (non-tinted)
  • Long pants
  • Long-sleeved shirt (for WHS reasons please do not wear excessively loose clothing)
  • High visibility vest
  • Sun protection as required

Course Fees - Full Fee paying students (ineligible for WorkReady Subsidies)
The full course fee is $4,125. A deposit of 20% ($825) is required at enrolment. Direct Debit arrangements are available.
NB: All participants are required to supply their own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) - see list above.
