CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)

Course Duration

Minimum of 14 weeks plus a minimum of 120 hours Vocational Work Placement in an approved Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF)

 

Course Fees – Subsidy eligible students

Concession Fee = $450 p/p 

Non-concession = $520 p/p 

 

Course Fees - Full Fee paying students

1 specialisation (Ageing) = $2,300

 

NB: Full Fee paying students are required to pay a deposit with the balance of fees due prior to completion of training. Alternatively payment by direct debit can be arranged, a deposit is also required for this option.

 

Fees include:

  • Work shirt;
  • Textbook; and
  • Tuition Fees.

 

Subsidised Training

This course may be subsidised by the Government of South Australia for eligible students. Visit www.skills.sa.gov.au for eligibility criteria.

If eligible for subsidised training, learners will be required to co-contribution other towards tuition fees and incidentals such as text books

 

Course Admission Requirements / pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites for entry into this course however applicants will be required to attend an interview and undertake a basic skills assessment.

In order to undertake the mandatory 120 hour vocational placement, learners will need to obtain a National Police Clearance relevant for working in.

 

Employment Outcomes

Certificate courses aim to provide training at the operative level to equip students with selected practical, technical and theoretical skills in individual support as well some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices requires to provide person-centred support. Obtaining this qualification may enhance your employment opportunities.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. 

 

Qualification
Students who successfully complete all the requirements of this course will be issued with a

Record of Results and CHC33015 Certificate III Individual Support –Ageing.

Students who do not complete all the units of competency within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment for those units of competency that have been successfully achieved.
