MEM05049B - Perform routine gas tungsten arc welding (from $390 to $420 p/p)

TIG welding is a more complex type of welding than MIG welding. It can be used for stairs and handrails, hospital equipment, lifts and elevators, welding needs in a winery, food preparation areas, yachts and boat building, and marine fittings. Routine GTAW applies in a maintenance or manufacturing environment where the weld quality is not required to meet an Australian Standard. Fillet and butt welds typically would be performed on low carbon/mild steels and aluminium.
